This is why St. Pete’s beaches are better than Miami

St Pete Beach

I brought the rain from Miami, but as you can see from this photo, the sun is finally out! And more importantly — St. Pete beaches vs Miami or Clearwater? No contest. We believe St. Pete beaches are better than Miami and Clearwater.

Here’s why.

First, let me say that I’m not on TripAdvisor as much as I should be, but it’s definitely one of the best travel sources out there. TripAdvisor did name St. Pete Beach as the best beach in America , according to Reader’s Choice Awards. This is a huge statement nabbing the number one slot rather than, like four or five.

Now, we all know how Travelbinger feels about Reader’s Choice Awards, and how you shouldn’t put all your eggs in this basket, but for beaches, readers do have a good grasp on what’s a good or not.

As for St. Pete beaches, they are gorgeous, and whether St. Pete beaches are better than Miami or Clearwater (St. Pete beaches vs Miami or Clearwater is always a big battle), both of which I’ve been to, I can honestly say they are better.

In St. Pete, the sand is fine and powdery white, and the water has low waves with an emerald green. It almost feels like the Caribbean.

Also, the beaches here are not overrun by tourists like the other two locations. I love that. You feel like you have the beaches to yourself.

If you’re heading to St. Pete, definitely check out our favorite new Samsonite luggage on Amazon! Pack everything you need for a tropical getaway 🙂

We’re loving the beaches in St. Pete, especially because it’s not completely overrun with high-rise buildings either, nor are they  brimming with towel-to-towel groups of tourists playing their music on blast. Best of all? The beaches here are CLEAN. They’re on par with Clearwater, but definitely better than Miami for a beach experience.

C’est la vie!

I’ll do a bigger “St. Pete beaches are better than Miami” review later, but for now, take a look at how beautiful the beach is.
