Dallas Fort Worth International Airport now hosts the latest addition to Chase’s growing network of premium lounges. The new 18,000-square-foot Sapphire Lounge opened its doors on July 16, 2026, bringing a distinctive feature that sets it apart from every other location in the system. Travelers passing through DFW can now access a dedicated whiskey lounge, the first of its kind across the entire Chase Sapphire network.
Why This Lounge Matters at DFW
The new space ranks among Chase’s largest Sapphire Lounges, trailing only the bigger facilities at LaGuardia and Philadelphia. It also stands as the most expansive credit card lounge option currently available at DFW itself. Positioned post-security near gate D25, the split-level design opens onto a concourse-level check-in before elevators carry guests to the main floor above.
Design elements draw on the brand’s signature sapphire blue palette, accented with greenery, brass details, and warm tones. Natural light filters in, though views remain limited to the terminal entrance rather than active runways. The layout stretches long and somewhat narrow, creating a series of connected zones that feel distinct yet cohesive.
The First Whiskey Lounge in the Network
At the heart of the experience sits the dedicated whiskey lounge, a tucked-away area that functions as a lounge within the larger lounge. Guests can explore a curated selection of Texas whiskeys and join guided tastings or pairings. One featured option, the honey pecan old-fashioned made with local toasted honey pecan syrup, has already drawn praise for its regional twist.
A custom barrel selection remains exclusive to this location, giving the space a sense of discovery not found elsewhere in the Sapphire network. The bar area also stocks a broader range of Texas brewery selections alongside signature cocktails and a wine list curated by Parcelle.
Additional Amenities for Every Traveler
Beyond the whiskey focus, the lounge offers practical and indulgent options. Guests can book a complimentary 30-minute facial at the on-site Face Haus spa, complete with an AI-powered skin analysis. Showers and rest pods provide space to refresh before flights, while a family room stocked with toys and seating keeps younger travelers occupied.
A private nursing room sits adjacent, stocked with diapers, lotions, yogurt pouches, and other essentials. Controls allow guests to mute overhead music or request assistance from the main desk. Food service includes made-to-order items such as the Sapphire Burger and cheddar grits with bacon, plus buffet selections like jalapeno lime cauliflower and chicken gumbo. Locally roasted coffee from Cherry Coffee and seasonal teas round out the beverage options.
Testing Grab-and-Go and Access Rules
Chase is piloting a grab-and-go station near the entrance with items like fruit, wraps, and sandwiches. The test remains limited to this location for now as the company evaluates guest response. Access follows the standard Sapphire Lounge policy: primary cardholders of the Chase Sapphire Reserve, J.P. Morgan Reserve, and Ritz-Carlton Rewards Credit Card receive complimentary entry, along with up to two guests.
Additional guests pay $27 each, with children under two admitted free. Priority Pass members may visit once per calendar year at no charge, with further visits at $75 per person. The lounge operates daily from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Expansion Continues Across the Network
This DFW location marks the ninth Sapphire Lounge open in the United States. Chase has already confirmed an upcoming opening at Los Angeles International Airport within the next year, while the Phoenix site undergoes expansion and plans advance for Miami. The steady growth contributed to the network earning recognition as the top credit card lounge program in 2026.
Travelers holding eligible premium cards now gain another reliable option for comfort and convenience on the road. The combination of distinctive amenities and straightforward access continues to strengthen the value proposition for frequent flyers.
