Disney Cruise Line has shared fresh details about its upcoming fourth Wish-class vessel, Disney Believe, following a major reveal held aboard the Disney Wish. The ship is set to debut in late 2027 with several original experiences that will distinguish it from its sister vessels. Bookings are scheduled to open later this month, giving families and fans an early look at what awaits on four- and five-night sailings from Port Everglades, Florida. ([1])
A Landmark Stage Adaptation Takes Center Stage
The most notable addition is the first stage production based on the 2021 animated film Encanto. This marks the initial time the story of the Madrigal family has been adapted for live performance at sea or on land. The show is expected to bring the film’s vibrant music and characters to life in a way that builds on the success of the Moana production already sailing on the Disney Treasure.
Disney Cruise Line has positioned the new production as a highlight for guests seeking fresh entertainment options. Early descriptions suggest it will capture the film’s emotional depth and colorful energy while fitting the scale of a modern cruise theater. The announcement has generated considerable interest among longtime Disney fans who have waited years for this particular tale to reach the stage.
Immersive Lounges Draw from Classic and Recent Films
Disney Believe will feature a Moana-themed Grand Hall that serves as the ship’s central gathering space. Renderings show ocean-inspired colors and a chandelier designed to evoke the fluid movement of the sea, creating an immediate sense of wonder upon boarding. This space sets the tone for the entire voyage and reflects the line’s ongoing commitment to detailed theming.
Two new lounges will offer distinct atmospheres. Wishing Well draws inspiration from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, complete with a canopy of red apples and a Gothic castle-style bar. Nearby, Sea Notes will feature an iridescent piano and decor reminiscent of Ariel’s undersea grotto from The Little Mermaid, providing a relaxed setting for evening drinks and music. These venues add variety to the ship’s nightlife without duplicating existing spaces on earlier Wish-class ships.
A New Frozen Dining Experience Brings Seasonal Charm
Oaken’s Table: A Frozen Family Feast will introduce a fresh take on the popular franchise. Unlike the immersive Arendelle dining adventure found on the Disney Wish, this experience will unfold in a sommerhus-style courtyard during warmer months. Oaken and his cousins are expected to perform their own renditions of familiar songs while guests enjoy themed cuisine.
The concept emphasizes a more intimate, cottage-like setting that changes with the seasons. This approach allows the ship to offer a distinct Frozen encounter that feels tailored to Disney Believe rather than repeated from previous vessels. Early details suggest the menu and performances will highlight the warmth and humor of the characters in a new environment.
Additional Themed Spaces Expand Guest Options
Beyond the headline attractions, Disney Believe will introduce several smaller venues that enhance daily life onboard. Pluto’s Pita Platters will provide casual, included dining on the top deck, while Big Hero Sips and Café Kakamora add quick-service beverage and snack options with their own thematic touches. Gazelle, inspired by Zootopia, will host games, shows, and character appearances throughout the day.
The ship’s largest suite will carry a Magic Kingdom theme, with individual rooms representing different lands from the park and design elements nodding to fireworks and balloons. For younger guests, the Oceaneer Club will feature a Monsters, Inc.-themed entrance complete with playful caution tape. These additions complement the ship’s larger entertainment offerings while providing practical variety for families.
Signature Experiences Carry Over Alongside New Developments
Disney Believe will retain several popular features already found on its sister ships, including the Haunted Mansion Parlor bar, the 1923 and Worlds of Marvel restaurants, and the AquaMouse waterslide. The Tangled stage show and Disney Seas the Adventure production will also return, though with updated sets and effects. Adults-only dining at Enchanté and Palo Steakhouse will remain available for those seeking a quieter evening.
While some guests may have hoped for even more entirely new venues, the combination of fresh themes and proven favorites creates a balanced experience. Disney Cruise Line continues to expand its fleet, with a new class of ships planned for 2029 that will sit between the size of the classic Magic and Wonder and the larger Wish-class vessels. Disney Believe represents a meaningful step in that growth, offering both continuity and innovation for the line’s expanding audience.
