Travelers who accumulate Marriott Bonvoy points through hotel stays or credit card spending now have access to experiences that extend well beyond a free night in a hotel room. The loyalty program’s Moments platform converts those points into tickets for major sporting events, private concerts and high-end dining, giving members a direct path to events that would otherwise require separate purchases. This approach has already delivered tangible results for participants, including access to the 2026 World Cup matches.

The shift matters for the millions of members who hold points but may not always need another hotel stay. Instead of letting balances sit unused, they can now target limited-time packages that combine events with occasional lodging or transportation. The platform operates through fixed-price redemptions, live auctions and occasional one-point offers, each with its own availability rules.

How the Redemption Categories Work

Fixed-point packages list a set number of points required for immediate booking. Members review the details and complete the redemption if the price fits their balance. Live auctions require participants to place bids in points, with the highest valid bid securing the package once the window closes. One-point drops appear as rare opportunities where a small number of packages become available for a single point, often alongside higher-tier auction versions of the same experience.

Some packages carry additional restrictions. Ambassador Elite members receive priority on select offerings, while certain World Cup packages were limited to holders of specific Marriott credit cards. These rules help control demand and direct inventory toward targeted groups within the broader membership base.

A Firsthand Look at World Cup Access

One recent package allowed a participant to attend the United States men’s national team match against Australia in Seattle. The redemption included lower-level seats at Lumen Field and a two-night stay at the citizenM Pioneer Square property, which joined the Marriott portfolio in late 2025. The seats provided clear views of both first-half goals scored by the U.S. side during a match that carried strong national-team energy.

The experience illustrated how points earned through routine hotel stays or card spending can translate into attendance at high-profile international events. Packages like this one ran across more than 100 games during the tournament, giving members multiple entry points depending on their location and schedule preferences.

Current Packages Across Categories

Beverage-focused redemptions currently feature tastings that may include travel and lodging. Options range from sake sampling reached by bullet train in Japan to bourbon tours in Kentucky and Champagne experiences in Reims, France. Some packages also incorporate pasta-making sessions at the company’s Bethesda headquarters.

Concert packages provide access to luxury suites or premium seats at major venues. Available events include shows by Megan Moroney and Benson Boone at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, Ariana Grande at The O2 in London, and Celine Dion performances in Paris that sometimes bundle a hotel stay. Culinary packages cover multi-course dinners at Michelin-starred restaurants paired with entertainment or overnight accommodations, such as a tasting menu at Joel Robuchon in Las Vegas combined with Cirque du Soleil tickets.

Bidding activity on many of these experiences has started in the range of 50,000 points, though final prices depend on auction competition and package specifics.

Upcoming Releases for Formula 1 Fans

Four packages tied to the Dutch Grand Prix are scheduled to appear on July 20. Seven additional packages for the Madrid Grand Prix follow on August 10. These releases continue the pattern of timed drops that give members advance notice to plan point usage around major motorsport weekends.

The rotation of new packages means availability changes frequently. Members who monitor the platform regularly can identify opportunities that align with their interests and point balances before the windows close.

The practical outcome for many participants is the creation of lasting personal memories funded by points that might otherwise have remained in an account. Whether the next redemption involves a concert suite, a private performance or a race weekend, the Moments platform demonstrates how loyalty balances can support travel that centers on events rather than lodging alone.
