Mobil 1 motor oil, the world’s leading brand of synthetic motor oil, is giving one lucky winner a free $20,000 road trip in America. The winner will decide where to visit, and the Mobil 1 team will take care of the rest. This free road trip comes at a time more people are hitting the road behind the wheels for vacation, rather than going on planes.
The lucky winner will receive $20,000 in trip planning services, travel gear and custom excursions, all accommodations, food and spending money and fuel for the road and a year of Mobil 1 oil changes, according to the entry page. The official rules page clarifies that the grand prize will receive $2,000 in ExxonMobil fuel cards (which is the fuel for the road). Some of the gear includes a GoPro Hero9, magnetic swivel clip, spare battery and branded solar powered charger.
There are also 13 weekly winners that can choose from a prize package, such as “Great Outdoors Bundle, consisting of a Coleman Cabin Tent (8 person/2 rooms), (2) branded Corkcickle Tumblers, and a branded Grizzly™ 15 Cooler; Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $449.99.”
Another option is “Road Trip Ready Bundle, consisting of a pair of Ray-Ban® Sunglasses (black), an Amazon Fire Kids tablet (8″ HD display, 32GB, w/ Kid-Proof Case), branded Parkland Computer Backpack, a $30 Exxon Mobil Fuels Card, 1-year Spotify® Gift Card and a branded Solar-Powered Charger; ARV: $605.95.”
While some travel contests and promotions make the contestant do a video on why they want to win, or an essay, it’s not required for the Mobil 1 contest. All you have to do is enter.
The Mobil 1 Road Trip is designed to get people loving road trips and the adventures they bring. As part of the contest, Mobil 1 is partnering with ambassadors to showcase the range of road trip experiences that are possible. This group will chronicle the sites they see, share road trip hacks and more. The ambassadors include reality TV stars, like Dean Unglert of The Bachelorette and Caelynn Miller-Keyes, who will drive from Las Vegas to the Salt Flats in Utah. The Hambrick Family will do a family trek from Miami to Sarasota, Florida. Travel photographer Tiffany Nguyen will take a journey from Los Angeles to the Eastern Sierras, and Youtuber Jason Fenske will explore the science behind motor oil in his road trip experience.
