Singapore – Royal Caribbean is expanding its Asia Pacific offerings with a new season of voyages aboard Voyager of the Seas that begin in late 2027 and run through 2028. The ship will operate from multiple homeports across the region, giving travelers additional choices for trips that range from short escapes to multi-week journeys. Bookings for these sailings become available today. ([1])
Broader Regional Deployment
The move forms part of Royal Caribbean’s largest Asia Pacific cruise season to date. Voyager of the Seas will join several other vessels already positioned in the area, including Navigator of the Seas, which operates year-round from Singapore starting in October 2026. Ovation of the Seas will sail from Brisbane, while Anthem of the Seas departs from Sydney. Spectrum of the Seas will continue to serve Shanghai and Hong Kong with routes that reach Japan, South Korea, and Vietnam. This coordinated fleet placement increases departure options and sailing frequency for passengers based in or traveling to the region. The company has positioned the program to cover peak holiday periods such as Christmas and Chinese New Year, allowing families and groups to align cruises with existing travel plans.
Australia and South Pacific Focus
Voyager of the Seas begins its season in Australia. From October through December 2027, the ship offers two- to seven-night cruises from Brisbane that reach tropical ports in Vanuatu and New Caledonia. Stops include Mystery Island, Port Vila, Luganville, and Noumea. The vessel then shifts to Sydney for longer itineraries. One notable sailing is a 10-night Christmas cruise that visits several New Zealand ports, including Picton, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, and Milford Sound. These routes combine coastal scenery with festive timing for passengers seeking a seasonal getaway.
Singapore and Hong Kong Gateways
From Singapore, travelers can select a five-night itinerary that includes a call at Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam before arriving in Hong Kong. The sailing links two major cities with a single stop that highlights regional culture and cuisine. Hong Kong serves as a key base during the Chinese New Year period. Four- and five-night cruises depart for Ishigaki and Okinawa in Japan, with some sailings featuring an overnight in Okinawa. Additional departures reach Taiwan and central Vietnam, offering access to night markets in Taipei and historic sites near Hue and Danang.
Onboard Amenities and Dining
Voyager of the Seas carries a range of activities suited to different age groups and interests. Passengers can use the FlowRider surf simulator, waterslides, rock wall, and ice-skating rink. Competitive options include mini-golf and laser tag, while younger guests have dedicated spaces at Adventure Ocean and the Living Room. Dining choices span casual and specialty venues. Italian dishes are available at Giovanni’s Table, steaks at Chops Grille, and Japanese-inspired fare at Izumi. Windjammer and Café Promenade provide flexible options throughout the day for those preferring lighter or quicker meals. The combination of varied ports and onboard facilities supports multi-generational travel without requiring separate arrangements for each segment of the trip. With bookings opening on August 26, 2026, the schedule gives planners an extended window to secure preferred dates and cabin categories for 2027 and 2028 departures.
