Aruba has long drawn travelers seeking reliable Caribbean escapes, with its soft sands and clear waters sitting safely outside the hurricane belt. The island’s appeal has grown even stronger for points enthusiasts who frequent the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino. Now a new 161-room tower called The Westerly adds a more exclusive layer to the property, delivering a boutique feel within the larger resort.

A Distinct Tower Within the Resort

The Westerly stands as a fresh, design-focused addition built directly into the existing Hilton Aruba complex. Named for the island’s steady east-to-west trade winds, the tower aims to provide a quieter, more elevated stay than standard rooms at the resort. Guests receive private check-in, access to swim-up rooms, and in-room wellness kits that include sunscreen, after-sun lotion, and a high-quality sleep mask. The property also grants entry to Terrace on 10, an adults-only rooftop space with ocean views, wellness programming, and locally inspired food and drinks. While The Westerly maintains its own identity, visitors retain full use of the resort’s beach, pools, spa, casino, and multiple dining venues.

Rooms Designed for Comfort and Views

Interiors blend tropical blues, sandy tones, and natural woods with subtle patterns that echo the nearby ocean. Each room features a large padded headboard equipped with USB-C charging ports and reading lights, plus a plush bed that reviewers found exceptionally comfortable. A Lavazza coffee machine, stocked minibar, and sizable television complete the setup. Balconies offer seating for two along with views of the pools and turquoise water. Bathrooms stand out for strong water pressure, thoughtful lighting, and Aruba Aloe bath products. A welcome kit adds practical touches such as a beach bag and passport holder.

Dining Choices Across the Property

The resort provides several on-site options that Westerly guests can enjoy. Laguna buffet delivers a large breakfast selection with efficient service despite morning crowds. Sunset Grille, recently refreshed, serves steaks, fresh fish, and a wide range of appetizers and desserts, including custom gin and tonics from a roaming cart. Shore Club offers beachside sushi, salads, burgers, tacos, and quesadillas, with the Korean beef tacos noted as a standout. Its rooftop section features fire pits and water views for evening drinks. Additional casual spots include Sunset Bar, Oscar’s Market for quick bites, and pool or beach service. Paid access to Terrace on 10 extends dining choices with an indoor-outdoor club atmosphere.

Activities and Nearby Attractions

Guests can move between the large pool complex and shaded beach palapas available for reservation. The central activities hut posts daily schedules and handles bookings for kayaking, fitness classes, and bike rentals. The on-site casino offers table games and slots, while the Eforea spa provides treatments for relaxation. Just across the street lie additional dining and shopping outlets, including familiar spots such as Fat Tuesday and Señor Frogs. Nature sites like the Bubali Bird Sanctuary and The Butterfly Farm sit within easy reach for those seeking cultural or outdoor diversions.

Rates and Redemption Details

Cash rates at The Westerly begin around $612 per night, with a $79 resort fee added daily. Hilton Honors members can redeem points, though current availability shows Premium Room Rewards starting at 262,000 points per night. The tower’s positioning as a boutique option within a points-friendly resort gives travelers a new way to combine elevated amenities with existing loyalty benefits. The addition of The Westerly strengthens Aruba’s standing as a dependable Caribbean destination that balances relaxation with convenient access to both resort comforts and island exploration.
