As more passengers consider summer travel during COVID-19, TSA has beefed up safety protocols for its security agents that come in contact with passengers. TSA announced that 1,171 TSA officers have tested positive for coronavirus, and six have reportedly died. The number of positive cases vary, but some airports have higher numbers. So what is the U.S airport with the highest TSA COVID-19 cases in America?
Coming in at No. 1 is JFK International Airport in New York City, New York. TSA has reported 116 positive cases, 109 that are screening officers. TSA reports the last work date of the infected screening officer was May 23, 2020.
Trailing JFK Airport with the second highest number of COVID-19 cases is Miami International Airport in Miami, Florida. The airport has reported 75 confirmed positive cases, 69 that are screening officers, so passengers are likely to have come in contact, and should consider getting a COVID-19 test. Coming in 3rd with the highest number of COVID-19 cases in America is Newark Liberty International Airport in Newark, New Jersey. 69 positive COVID-19 cases have been reported, and 60 are screening officers.

Chicago O’Hare International Airport with 47 cases (45 that are screening officers).
Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport with 46 cases (44 that are screen officers)
Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport with 40 confirmed cases (38 that are screening officers),
Dallas Forth Worth International with 38 cases (34 are screening officers).
