And while International Living is a website geared toward retirees, anyone in the U.S. over the age of 21 can enter. Whether you want to bring a parent, or like to plan your retirement decades in advance, this opportunity will have you living immersed in Portugal and its culture. However, the deadline to enter is today (Monday, October 18) at midnight, so get moving if you’re interested in living in Portugal for 30 days.
So, where will you live in Portugal?
The lucky winner (along with their friend or spouse) will win a month’s stay in The Algarve, Portugal. The all expense paid trip includes round-trip airfare from the U.S. to Faro, furnished accommodation, plus a remuneration to cover living expenses. International Living did not specify how much the winner will receive for living expenses.
What is Algarve known for?
The seaside town of Algarve is known for soaring cliffs, caves and beaches, and bays and islands that draw millions of visitors every year, as well as American ex-pats and retirees. Surrounded on two sides by the Atlantic, it’s a haven for beach and ocean lovers. Algarve is also known for a huge vacation hot spot with resorts and nightlife along the beach. Grownups and younger travelers crowd the destination that’s treasured for lagoons and islands of the protected Parque Natural da Ria Formosa, west of the capital Faro to the fishing village of Cacela Velha.

Those who want to enter the Win Your Dream Retirement Overseas Competition can do so by filling out the written application form, which asks questions about why applicants are interested in life abroad. From the initial pool of applicants, editors will narrow the field to 20 finalists and ask those winners to enter the second round with a video introducing themselves.
Applicants must be 21 and over by the time of application, and they must be down with living in Portugal for a month.
The trip must take place in 2022.
