Review: Hasbrouck House in Stone Ridge, NY (CATSKILLS)

My friend Josh and I have been traveling through The Catskills in the most popular towns, like Hunter, Phoenicia and Windham, and we just arrived at Hasbrouck House in Stone Ridge, NY. I’ll do a longer Hasbrouck House review, but for now, check out a little preview.

Hasbrouck House is a charming, rustic and luxury 17-room hotel that dates back to the 18th century. It’s incredibly unique, and there are two things that make it stand out from the other properties we’ve stayed in.

One: Hasbrouck House is in Stone Ridge, which is not as remote as the other towns and counties we visited. In fact, it feels more like a town, and the population is greater.

Two: Hasbrouck House is actually a former, historic mansion that spreads over three buildings (the main building, the Stable House and the Carriage House). While all three buildings house accommodations, they are actually very close to each other, just steps away.

We checked into Carriage House Grand Suite on the 2nd floor of the Carriage House, the largest room on property.

Room 13 has a private outdoor entrance, spacious living area with kitchenette, master bedroom with ensuite bathroom, 1 bedroom with queen bed and another bedroom with full-size day bed, both of which share a bathroom. The master bedroom has a large balcony overlooking the property.

The suite is bathed in sunlight during the day, and I am loving the vibe. It’s more “modern Catskills” but also fully embraces its historic roots.

We checked into Eastwind Hotel in The Catskills, New York — Take a Look

Hasbrouck House is a great hotel for small events, intimate weddings and weekend getaways from NYC. There’s a game room with pool table, a hiking trail to a gorgeous goose-filled lake and Butterfield restaurant right on property serving high-end farm-fresh contemporary American cuisine.

As always, I’ll write a longer review, but take a moment to check out photos of this great property.

If you’re traveling soon, check out the new Samsonite luggage collection. You can get it on Amazon, and it’s honestly my favorite so far.
