With vaccines rolling out, and summer around the corner, people are more restless than ever to escape the “great indoors” and get outside, so WhistleOut.com, a company that provides a search engine to internet networks and cell phone plans, is looking to hire someone to be a CAO (Chief Adventure Officer) for the summer.

WhistleOut.com will pay the CAO $1,000 to explore the nature their own state has to offer. All they have to do is explore their home state’s backyard, and take some pics of their adventure while they’re at it.

The company will also send the appointed Chief Adventure Officer a new smartphone of their choice to document their adventure (use the WhistleOut phone finder to help you pick the right device).

The smartphone must be $1,000 or less, and it can be a phone you prefer, whether a Samsung and Apple iPhone. In addition to $1,000 in cash and new smartphone, Whistleout.com will pay $500 reimbursement for expenses like travel, food, park fees, and outdoor gear needed to complete the task.

With the new smartphone, reimbursement and $1,000 cash, the lucky winner can make their adventuring as comfortable as possible, and leave the hardcore surviving to Bear Grylls.

Anyone can apply to be the Chief Adventure Officer. “We don’t expect National-Geographic level photography. If you’re the type of person that stays behind to snap the perfect phone pic of your view or even simply enjoys spending time in the great outdoors, you’re perfect to apply for the job!” a representative of WhistleOut said in an email.

Applications are open now until 5:00 PM PST on Friday, May 21st, 2021. The company will announce the new CAO live on their YouTube channel on May 28th. Applicants must be 18+ and eligible to work in the U.S.

If you want to apply, you can find the application form rules here.
