On May 15, 2022, 500 fans of the hit show ‘Friends’ will set sail for “The One When They Went On a Cruise” aboard the Celebrity Equinox. The first-ever ‘Friends’ themed cruise at sea will be full of ‘Friends’ themed events, trivia contests and cooking demonstrations, while on a seven-day sailing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and will be hosted by FANA Word Travel.

Bookings for the ‘Friends’ cruise went live on June 2, 2021. The first 25 guests who booked a cabin received a free one-night stay at a hotel (based on double occupancy) in Ft. Lauderdale the night prior to embarkation, May 14.

Cruise prices start at $1,648.66 per person for an inside stateroom up to $3,048.66 for a Sky Suite with Veranda.  All staterooms include complimentary WiFi, premium beverage package, $150 shore excursion credit per person, gratuities, taxes and fees.

The Celebrity Equinox, voted Best Service in the Large Ship Category in Cruise Critic’s 2020 Cruisers Choice Awards, is part of Celebrity Cruises new luxury line of ships.  Revolutionized in 2019, the 2,852-passenger ship features innovative design concepts and technology.

‘Friends’ Fans will visit Key West, Grand Cayman and Cozumel.  They will also enjoy time onboard to channel their best Ross and Rachel at the “Dress as your Favorite Friend” party and partake in Friends trivia contests and a cooking demonstration (Mockolate not included!) that would make Chef Monica proud, while also enjoying time in the sun on the ship’s multiple pool deck.

The cruise was announced not long after Celebrity Cruises unveiled the third ship in the company’s “new luxury” Edge Series — Celebrity Beyond — and it cost $900 million to build.

Inspired by a vision to take the cruise industry into the next era of luxury, Celebrity Beyond put together a dream team to bring it to fruition and showcases the design talents of multi-award-winning British designer Kelly Hoppen CBE; celebrated American designer Nate Berkus; and lauded Paris-based design firm Jouin Manku; the innovation of British architect Tom Wright; and the culinary gifts of Michelin-starred chef and restaurateur Daniel Boulud (his first culinary experience at sea). The ship will also feature experiences and products from goop CEO and founder Gwyneth Paltrow, the brand’s new Well-Being Advisor.
