You Can Take a European Cruise With Gwyneth Paltrow This Fall For $6,200

Celebrity Cruise

Gwyneth Paltrow is bringing her health and wellness brand, Goop, onboard Celebrity Cruises for an 11-night cruise this fall. The Goop At Sea experience is offered to cruisers for $750; however, to attend, they must book a suite class accommodation, which starts at $5,449. The total cost for the one day Goop At Sea experience will be approximately $6,199.

“Goop At Sea” will take place on the luxury cruise line’s August 26, 2020 sailing through the Mediterranean. Anyone who books the Goop At Sea workshop will have a chance to meet Paltrow in the first Opening Conversation event with Gwyneth Paltrow. In this session, participants will learn first-hand from Paltrow about her personal wellness journey, what she’s learned, what she’s still curious about and where she’s headed next, according to Celebrity.

Other events will include a workshop on mental health, a group workout class, a session on spirituality and a keynote closing speech with Goop’s content CCO Elise Loehnen. Every participant will receive a Goop gift bag and eat meals curated by Goop’s food editor.

The 11-night cruise, “Spain, France and Italian Riviera,” from August 26 to September 6, hits nine ports, including Barcelona, Marseille, Rome and Palma De Mallorca, and offers a variety of onboard activities and excursions. Standard cabins start at $2,179, while suites start at $5,449.

The suites are part of an exclusive section of the ship, The Retreat, which offers a private lounge and restaurant (in partnership with Daniel Boulud), complimentary WIFI, private concierge and butler service.

Celebrity Apex is the cruiseline’s newest ship that will make its debut in April 2020. The luxury vessel has 2,910 cabins and will offer cool features like The Magic Carpet, a cantilevered floating platform reaching 13 stories high above seal level, a resort deck with a rooftop garden and Solarium pool and a theater with a 20-foot-tall 4K LED screen.

Paltrow went on The Late Show with Seth Meyers promoting the cruise. She accidentally name dropped the wrong cruise line (she mentioned Goop At Sea was on Royal Caribbean, not Celebrity, though it’s the same company), and she later corrected herself and blamed it on being on mushrooms.

Goop at Sea is Paltrow’s first partnership with a cruise line.

This isn’t the first time this year a cruise line partnered with a celebrity. Norwegian hosted Rob “Gronk” Gronkowsi and auto racing champion Jeff Gordon on February 2 to promote the largest racetrack at sea aboard Norwegian Encore, the newest ship from Norwegian Cruise Line.
