Chase cardholders who favor the space and flexibility of vacation rentals now have a significant new option for using their travel benefits. Beginning January 1, 2027, The Edit by Chase Travel will expand its collection of luxury hotels and resorts to include more than 10,000 vacation homes. ([1])The move builds on an earlier partnership with the luxury rental platform Plum Guide and gives eligible Sapphire Reserve and J.P. Morgan Reserve cardholders additional ways to apply their annual statement credits.
Expansion Builds on Existing Partnership
The Edit by Chase Travel currently features more than 1,500 hotels and resorts that deliver extra perks to qualifying cardholders. The upcoming addition of vacation homes marks a notable broadening of that inventory. Properties will be selected by Plum Guide using more than 150 criteria focused on comfort, design, and location. This follows the April 2026 announcement of Chase Travel’s collaboration with the platform, which first introduced luxury rentals into the portal for a wider group of cardholders. Cardholders will continue to have the option to redeem Chase Ultimate Rewards points for these stays. The expansion is limited to specific premium cards, including the Chase Sapphire Reserve, Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business, and J.P. Morgan Reserve. These changes reflect Chase’s effort to meet growing demand for rental accommodations that offer more room and privacy than traditional hotel rooms.
Perks Tailored for Vacation Home Stays
Bookings through The Edit will come with a distinct set of benefits compared with hotel stays. Eligible cardholders can receive a $150 in-stay credit that can be applied toward services such as massages, private chefs, or airport transportation. Early check-in and late checkout are also available when the property can accommodate them. These advantages require a minimum stay of four nights, longer than the two-night minimum that applies to hotel bookings in the collection. Some benefits remain subject to availability and may differ by property. The longer minimum stay requirement aligns with the nature of vacation rentals, which often involve weekly or multi-night bookings. Cardholders who meet the criteria will still be able to combine the new options with their existing annual statement credits for prepaid stays booked through Chase Travel.
How Statement Credits Apply to the New Inventory
The annual The Edit statement credits vary by card and can now be used toward qualifying vacation home reservations. Sapphire Reserve and J.P. Morgan Reserve cardholders receive up to $500 in credits, typically split into two amounts of up to $250 each. The Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business card currently offers the same $500 limit in 2026, but that amount increases to $1,000 beginning in 2027 through four separate credits of up to $250 each. A prepaid booking of at least two nights qualifies for the statement credit on hotels, yet vacation home stays must meet the four-night threshold to unlock the additional The Edit perks. Stays paid entirely with points do not qualify for the statement credits under current Chase terms. Cardholders planning to use the credit must therefore make an eligible purchase with their card rather than redeeming points alone.
Practical Considerations for Cardholders
The addition of vacation homes gives Reserve cardholders more flexibility when planning trips that benefit from a full home environment. Access to Reserve Travel Designers remains available for Sapphire Reserve and Reserve Business cardholders, providing personalized assistance with matching properties and handling arrangements before, during, and after the stay. This concierge support can prove especially useful when coordinating longer rentals or special requests. Travelers should compare total costs and review property-specific details before booking. While the new inventory expands choices, the four-night minimum and credit rules require careful planning to maximize value. The changes take effect on a clear date, allowing cardholders time to evaluate how the expanded collection fits their upcoming travel plans. The expansion positions The Edit as a more versatile tool for premium Chase cardholders who value both luxury service and the comforts of a private home.
