This route works well for flexibility.
Direct partnerships offer more predictable earnings when booking for oneself. Delta awards two miles per dollar spent after starting at its partner page. United MileagePlus credits three miles per dollar through its dedicated link. JetBlue TrueBlue members earn points and Tiles by routing through TrueBlue Travel. Some Vrbo stays may also qualify for One Key rewards on top of airline miles.

The Chase Sapphire Preferred Card currently awards three points per dollar on vacation home rentals booked through Airbnb, Vrbo, and several similar platforms. Cards that bonus general travel purchases, such as certain American Express or Capital One products, serve as solid alternatives when the specific bonus category does not apply.
Even a straightforward cash-back card that earns more than one percent can improve the overall return. The combination of portal miles, airline partnership credits, and card points turns an ordinary rental into a more valuable transaction when all requirements are met.
