This Independence Day, two of America’s most popular theme park groups are giving back to those who served. Busch Gardens — along with Water Country USA and Adventure Island — and SeaWorld parks across three states are offering free one-day admission to U.S. veterans and active-duty military, along with up to three guests, as part of their long-running Waves of Honor initiative .
For more than two decades, this heartfelt gesture has welcomed over 10 million military members and their families into park gates. This summer, the offer follows a familiar schedule: veterans can sign up by June 22, and the tickets are valid through July 6.
A Salute That Spans Six Parks
At Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and Busch Gardens Williamsburg, along with their nearby water parks — Adventure Island and Water Country USA — free tickets are available for veterans and retirees. Active-duty service members enjoy ongoing year-round access for themselves and up to three dependents, and they’re eligible for three additional free tickets during this promotion.
SeaWorld takes the appreciation nationwide, extending the offer at its parks in Orlando, San Antonio, and San Diego, plus water parks like Aquatica in Orlando and San Antonio. This also includes free admission for veterans and active-duty personnel, each with up to three guests.

Launched in 2005, the Waves of Honor program is now part of United Parks & Resorts, the parent company of Busch Gardens and SeaWorld, and stands as one of the most enduring salutes to American service members. How to Redeem Tickets
Military guests should verify their status through the Waves of Honor portal, typically via ID.Me. Registration closes on June 22, with the free tickets valid until July 6, 2025. Active-duty guests should bring valid military ID and their registered dependents to the gate.
For active-duty members, this mid‑summer bonus offer supplements their annual access, giving them up to four free park visits (one standard plus three extra). Additionally, both Busch Gardens and SeaWorld offer military discount passes for unlimited visits through December.
