Chase has introduced a new premium credit card aimed at frequent guests of InterContinental Hotels Group properties. The IHG One Rewards Premier Select Credit Card carries a $350 annual fee and features a welcome offer of 200,000 bonus points after $5,000 in purchases within the first three months. The promotion runs through November 18 and includes an additional 10,000 points for adding an authorized user within the same window. ([1])
The Limited-Time Offer and Eligibility Rules
The 200,000-point bonus represents the centerpiece of the launch promotion. Cardholders who meet the spending threshold receive the points, which can be redeemed for hotel stays across the IHG portfolio. The offer carries standard restrictions that bar applicants who have received a new-cardmember bonus on this specific card in the prior 24 months. Because the product is entirely new, existing holders of other IHG One Rewards cards remain eligible. Applicants must still navigate Chase’s broader rules, including the 5/24 guideline that limits approvals for those who have opened five or more cards in the past 24 months. The short window means interested travelers need to act before mid-November to secure the full bonus.
Annual Fee and Core IHG Benefits
The $350 annual fee positions the card between mid-tier and ultra-premium hotel products. In exchange, cardmembers receive automatic Platinum Elite status, 20 elite night credits each year, and an anniversary free-night certificate worth up to 60,000 points. They also gain access to the fourth reward night free on point redemptions and up to $300 in quarterly food-and-beverage vouchers. These hotel-specific perks form the primary value driver. The food-and-beverage credits arrive as four $75 vouchers, each expiring at the end of its quarter and usable only during a single eligible stay. Frequent IHG guests who can apply the vouchers consistently often find the credits alone offset much of the annual fee.
Earning Rates and Spending Bonuses
The card earns 12 points per dollar on IHG stays, plus up to 16 additional points from Platinum Elite status for a combined total of 28 points per dollar at those properties. It awards 6 points per dollar on dining and other travel purchases and 3 points per dollar on everything else. Higher spending tiers unlock further elite-night credits and status boosts, including Diamond Elite after $25,000 in annual purchases. Additional travel perks include a $200 annual airline statement credit through the end of 2027, a once-every-four-years credit for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck, and periodic credits for United TravelBank, Instacart+, and DashPass. The card carries no foreign transaction fees.
How It Fits Among Other IHG Cards
The Premier Select sits above the refreshed $150 Premier and no-annual-fee IHG One Rewards cards in both fee and benefits. It delivers stronger elite status, larger food-and-beverage credits, and more elite-night credits than the lower-tier options. A business version of the Premier card remains available at a $200 fee with a different mix of perks. For travelers who stay often enough to use the quarterly vouchers and redeem the anniversary night certificate, the higher fee can be justified. Those who rarely credit stays to their own account or struggle to use the food credits may find the value less compelling. The new card targets a specific segment of IHG loyalists who can convert its hotel-centric rewards into meaningful savings each year. With the welcome bonus available only through mid-November, the window for new applicants to test that value proposition is narrow.
