The carrier now plans its most significant move yet at the Texas airport with the introduction of nonstop service to Paris. The route marks Delta’s first long-haul flight from Austin and gives the city a new direct link to Europe.
Route Launch and Aircraft Details
Service from Austin to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport begins March 27, 2027. Flights will operate daily through the summer season before pausing in the fall. Delta will deploy its Airbus A330-900neo on the route. The aircraft features 29 Delta One suites in business class, 28 Premium Select seats, 56 Comfort seats with extra legroom, and 168 seats in the main cabin. Travelers gain access to a premium long-haul product without needing to connect through a major Delta hub.
Austin’s Expanding European Options
The new Delta flight brings Austin to four nonstop destinations in Europe by 2027. The other routes include British Airways service to London Heathrow, KLM flights to Amsterdam, and Lufthansa service to Frankfurt. Delta’s Paris route stands out as the only one operated by a U.S. carrier among the group. Two of the four routes fall under the SkyTeam alliance. Passengers can redeem Delta SkyMiles or Air France-KLM Flying Blue miles for travel on the Austin-Paris and Austin-Amsterdam flights. Most major credit card rewards programs allow transfers to Flying Blue at a 1:1 ratio.
