Hilton is preparing to bring Yotel hotels into its loyalty ecosystem through the newly created Select by Hilton collection. The move marks the first major step in a strategy to fold established hotel brands into the Hilton network while preserving their individual identities. Travelers will soon have additional options for earning and redeeming points at these compact, technology-focused properties in major cities and near airports.
Launch Timeline and Booking Changes
The integration begins on July 15, when the first Yotel locations become bookable directly through Hilton channels. Guests who reserve through Hilton will start earning Honors points immediately and can apply existing points or elite benefits to their stays. Properties already booked directly with Yotel before the switch will still qualify for points and recognition if the traveler links the reservation to a Hilton Honors account.
Full integration across most Yotel sites is expected by early September. At that point the separate Yotel Club loyalty program will close, and its members will receive direct invitations to join Hilton Honors along with offers tailored to their past activity.
Points Earning and Elite Benefits
Yotel stays will award five points per dollar spent, matching the rate for other limited-service Hilton brands. Elite members retain their standard tier bonuses on top of the base earning. Award stays qualify for the fifth-night-free benefit, and certain cobranded card free-night certificates remain usable, though the lower nightly rates at Yotel may make those certificates more valuable elsewhere.
The arrangement gives Honors members access to a different segment of urban and airport accommodations without requiring a separate loyalty program. Yotel properties emphasize efficient design, automated services, and lower price points compared with many full-service Hilton hotels.
Yotel Profile and Future Growth
Yotel operates 23 hotels across ten countries, with city-center locations, airport-adjacent Yotelair sites, and extended-stay Yotelpad properties. The brand first opened at London Gatwick Airport in 2007 and later expanded to New York City, where it introduced robotic luggage handling. Additional openings are planned for Kuala Lumpur later this year, Athens in 2027, and Belfast and Lisbon in 2028.
Select by Hilton functions as a collection rather than a standalone brand. It allows established operators to keep their names and management while gaining access to Hilton distribution, technology, and the Honors program. The approach mirrors similar portfolios operated by competing hotel groups.
Practical Impact for Members
The addition provides more budget-conscious choices in key markets such as New York, London, Singapore, and several U.S. cities. Members who previously stayed at Yotel outside the Hilton system can now consolidate activity and benefits in one program. Existing Yotel Club participants stand to receive status-matching or accelerated recognition offers based on their history.
Travelers should verify property availability and integration status on Hilton’s site beginning July 15 to take advantage of the new options as they roll out.
