JW Marriott Nashville Unveils $3 Million New Rooftop Pool

Summer travel will be hot this year! 87% people across the world plan on traveling this summer, and flight searches are up 25% for summer, according to Expedia. It’s no surprise hotels are getting prepared, and JW Marriott Nashville is going all out by unveiling a $3 million renovation to its rooftop pool. It’s now the largest rooftop pool deck in Downtown Nashville.

Opened since 2018, the luxury JW Marriott Nashville located downtown has become a magnet to both business and leisure travelers alike, but with “bleisure” and “work from roam” trending in 2023, the two sets of travelers harmoniously merge — and they can expect an exciting, newly renovated pool deck, as well as an upgrade to the food & drink at the rooftop’s Cabana Club.

The downtown luxury hotel gave the 12,000 sq. ft. pool deck area a significant facelift, so traveler can expect new décor and furniture, the addition of eight high-end private cabanas (for a rate), an herb garden and the reinvented Cabana Club Bar & Grill, the pool’s onsite food and beverage bar. The $3 million pool deck is designed in partnership with Stone Hill Taylor Designs, a firm that went with a Mediterranean inspired theme mirrored through the revamped pool deck F+B menu as well. Think: light linens and navy blues in decor complementing the Cabana Club menu.

While the pool deck formerly had an industrial and contemporary feel, the new look pulls inspiration from global design as an overall feel. There’s an obvious tropical vibe, and guests feel they are at a resort or retreat rather than a hotel. Also featured are two custom murals by Nashville local Tarabella Aversa.

The swimming pool itself is now edged with eight sumptuous private cabanas with plush seating, mini-fridge and television. Base-level cabanas hold up to six guests and include a dedicated cabana server, water bottles, and a seasonal fruit plate. Canopy-covered two-seater daybeds are also available to reserve, while additional rocking chairs and chaise lounge chairs will be available to hotel guests on a first come, first served basis.

The pool deck is open daily for hotel guests from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM, weather permitting.

JW Marriott Nashville is running a“Music City Summer”promo (Nashville is “Music City” after all) where guests can stay a fourth night for free this July.
