The Four Seasons Resort and Residences at Costa Palmas
Of all the new resorts in Los Cabos, the Four Seasons Resort and Residences in Costa Palmas is one of the most buzzed about.
Set amidst organic farms, the brand new Four Seasons Resort and Residences features the brand’s first-ever private marina on the Sea of Cortez. Plus, an 18-hole golf course set in a luxury beachfront resort community, 45 minutes from Los Cabos International Airport.
The resort is set on two miles of beachfront against the backdrop of the Sierra de la Laguna mountains. The private marina, offers premier access to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Cabo Pulmo, known for unique land and sea adventures.
Next door to the resort, the lively Costa Palmas Marina Village offers a vibrant downtown. Think a marketplace of retail spaces, cafés, and the newly opened nightclub Chiki, designed by Martin Brudnizki.
Each residence integrates indoor-outdoor living and private pools. Some spaces are quite expansive, and can hold to up to 18 guests. The prices? 2,500 to 50,000 per night. But if you’re interested in staying forever, they’re still up for sale.
Hyatt Rancho Pescadaro in Todos Santos
This luxury resort, originally opened with 12 rooms in 2009. But in 2023, the Hyatt has reimagined and expanded it into a 103-room property. The first Hyatt-branded luxury resort in Todos Santos, it’s known for its elevated guest experience focused on wellness.
The resort, which sits on a 30-acre site between the desert and coastline, features 1,100 feet of ocean frontage, nine gardens, two farms, a citrus orchard, a sea turtle hatchery, a tropical bird sanctuary, and hiking/biking paths.
With designs by Mexican architect Alejandra Templeton, the resort offers twelve oceanfront villas. The other 91 rooms and suites come with ocean and coastal views, private roof decks, and outdoor living spaces. Rancho Pescadero offers three dining options overseen by Culinary Director Sandro Falbo, all emphasizing locally sourced ingredients.
The wellness options? A 25,000-square-foot spa, hydrotherapy circuit, a gym, and daily rituals like sound bath healings and cacao ceremonies.
Grand Velas Boutique Hotel
There’s a new adults only all-inclusive resort coming to the shores of Los Cabos before 2024! This swanky 79-room resort on the tourist corridor, just 15 minutes from the parties of Los Cabos.
Think–an infinity pool where you can float blissfully while watching the Sea of Cortez, indoor-outdoor event spaces, and restaurants where you can get a true taste of the local cuisine. Plus, every room comes with an ocean view, a jacuzzi, private terrace, and a personal butler.
But if you really want take luxuriating to another level, check out the spa, with calming views of both the sea and the desert.
Park Hyatt Los Cabos, at Cabo del Sol
The Park Hyatt brand will introduce its first-ever hotel in Mexico, the Park Hyatt Los Cabos, at Cabo del Sol—just a few feet from the new Four Seasons.
Slated for opening in early 2024, the new property will be part of Cabo del Sol. It’s a master-planned golf resort community, with a prime location overlooking the Sea of Cortez.
We don’t know much else at the moment. But, word is that the resort will have 163 rooms, multiple pools, a full-service spa, and 35,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting spaces.
Dining options at the Park Hyatt Los Cabos will feature a Mexican eatery, a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant, and a beach club. In addition to the hotel, the property will encompass a residential component, consisting of 19 villas and residences.
Soho House & Beach Club
None of these new resorts in Los Cabos is as mysterious as the coming Soho House. This bastion of boutique hotel coolness will open its Cabo location on the tourist corridor of Los Cabos sometime in late 2024. The hotel has been mum on details, other than that they expect the hotel to contain about 70 rooms.
Aman will open Amanvari in 2025 on the East Cape of Mexico’s Baja Peninsula. This resort will also feature private Aman Residences, multiple dining venues, an Aman Spa, and a stretch of private white sand beach.
Situated along the Sea of Cortez with views of the Sierra de la Laguna range, the resort will be part of the 1,000-acre Costa Palmas development. (Home of the new Four Seasons resort, a marina).
Amanvari will feature 20 bi-level pavilions with decks, and a private pool. The first floor will have indoor/outdoor lounging areas integrated into the natural landscape. Costa Palmas is relatively undeveloped and offers a different atmosphere compared to the main Cabo corridor.
