Delta has introduced a welcome bonus for its premium card that stands out even among airline credit card promotions. New applicants for the Delta SkyMiles Reserve American Express Card can now receive two round-trip Delta Comfort flight certificates along with 50,000 bonus miles after meeting a spending threshold. The combination marks the first time the issuer has paired these specific flight certificates with the miles reward in a single offer. ([1])
The Limited-Time Welcome Package
Cardmembers who spend $10,000 in eligible purchases within the first six months receive the two certificates and the miles. The offer runs through November 4, 2026, and applies only to new accounts. Each certificate covers a round-trip in Delta Comfort or Main Cabin on select domestic routes, with a requirement to book at least 21 days ahead and taxes or fees up to $80 per person.
The certificates carry no blackout dates, which sets them apart from many other airline awards that restrict travel during peak periods. They apply to the 48 contiguous states plus Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The 50,000 miles add immediate flexibility for future redemptions on Delta or its partners.
Airport Lounge Access and Faster Screening
Beyond the sign-up reward, the card provides 15 Delta Sky Club visits per Medallion year when flying Delta. Cardmembers also gain complimentary entry to Centurion Lounges on Delta itineraries booked with the card. These spaces offer seating, dining, and workspaces that can ease long layovers or early arrivals.
A separate credit covers Global Entry or TSA PreCheck application fees every four years. The benefit reduces the out-of-pocket cost for programs that shorten security lines and speed up international arrivals. Together these features address common pain points at the airport before any flight departs.
Statement Credits and Medallion Progress
Cardholders can offset routine spending through annual credits tied to Resy restaurants and select rideshare purchases. The restaurant credit reaches up to $240 per year, while the rideshare credit totals up to $120. Enrollment is required for both.
The card also supplies $2,500 in Medallion Qualification Dollars at the start of each qualification year. Additional purchases earn one MQD for every $10 spent, helping members move toward elite status without relying solely on flight activity. These ongoing elements extend the card鈥檚 usefulness well beyond any single trip.
Renewal and In-Flight Perks
Each year after renewal, the card issues a Companion Certificate valid on round-trip Delta flights across the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central America. The certificate covers First, Comfort, or Main Cabin travel, though taxes and fees between $22 and $250 still apply depending on the itinerary.
Additional flight benefits include a free checked bag for the primary cardmember and a second bag for companions on domestic Delta flights. Zone 5 priority boarding and placement on upgrade lists after Medallion members round out the package. These features accumulate value for anyone who flies Delta regularly.
The current sign-up offer highlights a rare chance to secure two Comfort round-trips and a substantial miles balance at once. Yet the card鈥檚 broader set of lounge, credit, and status tools continues to deliver returns throughout the year. Travelers weighing the $650 annual fee can now evaluate both the immediate reward and the longer-term advantages side by side.
