Casona Roma Norte, a restored 1920s mansion in Roma Norte, has joined Small Luxury Hotels of the World and will soon appear in the Hilton booking system. The move gives members another way to earn and redeem points at an independent property that already holds a Michelin Key distinction.
Restored Mansion in Roma Norte
The 32-suite hotel occupies a Belle Epoque building that retains its original Art Nouveau details and signature pink facade. Guests stay inside a preserved piece of Mexico City history while enjoying modern comforts in a lively residential area. The property limits stays to guests 12 and older, though it remains pet-friendly.
General manager Nessi Behar described the SLH membership as a reflection of the hotel’s core values of service, local experiences, and historical immersion. The building’s careful restoration supports that approach by keeping architectural character intact rather than modernizing it away.
Four Distinct Dining Experiences
Four separate food and beverage outlets operate on site. La Macaria Matcha & Tea Room opens the day with specialty drinks and pastries. Somma Rooftop serves as a wine bar and social club with views and contemporary dishes.
Two newer additions round out the choices. Terra offers fine dining that pairs dishes with guest-selected beverages. Tacos Romita provides a casual taqueria focused on neighborhood flavors. Together the outlets give guests multiple reasons to remain on property throughout the day.
Points Access Through SLH Partnership
Small Luxury Hotels of the World maintains a partnership with Hilton that brings select independent hotels into the Honors ecosystem. Casona Roma Norte becomes the latest addition, allowing members to book award stays and earn points once the property appears in the system this month.
The hotel also belongs to Mr & Mrs Smith, which maintains its own arrangement with World of Hyatt. Guests therefore face two loyalty paths for award nights. Rates currently begin near $450 per night or 32,500 World of Hyatt points, while Hilton award pricing will be confirmed once the listing activates.
What Changes for Travelers
Hilton Honors members gain a stylish, non-chain alternative in a neighborhood favored by many visitors. The property’s limited age policy and intimate scale remain in place, so families with younger children will continue to look elsewhere. Those who value points flexibility now have one more Mexico City address where both earning and redemption are possible.
