The Grand Hyatt Victoria Falls The Kingdom is scheduled to open in late 2027. The project involves a full renovation of a property first constructed in 1966 and last redeveloped in 1999. Hyatt has positioned the development as part of its broader growth across the African continent, where it already operates the Hyatt Regency Harare The Meikles in the capital. The decision reflects steady interest from international travelers seeking established brands near iconic destinations. It also gives the company a second operational base in Zimbabwe, allowing it to serve both leisure visitors to the falls and business travelers in Harare.
Property Features After Renovation
Once complete, the hotel will offer 245 guestrooms. Three dining venues, a spa, a fitness center, and a grand lobby lounge are planned. More than 19,000 square feet of meeting and event space will support conferences and larger gatherings. The redevelopment aims to preserve the building’s historic character while updating facilities to current standards. Guests will have direct access to the surrounding area for safaris and other regional excursions.

The site sits a five-minute walk from the entrance to Victoria Falls National Park on the Zimbabwean side.
