All-business-class carrier La Compagnie plans to begin service between Newark Liberty International Airport and Düsseldorf Airport on April 23, 2027. Düsseldorf serves as the economic center of North Rhine-Westphalia, home to major international companies and strong historical links to the United States. The city has lacked consistent nonstop service to New York since earlier operators scaled back or ended flights. La Compagnie’s decision targets executives and frequent travelers who value direct access without connections through larger hubs.
Current options remain limited. Condor provides only seasonal flights during September and October, according to schedule data. Earlier daily service by Lufthansa and its subsidiary Eurowings ended in 2020, while Air Berlin’s flights from New York’s other airport ceased with the carrier’s closure in 2017. The new route restores year-round nonstop access tailored to business needs.
Five Weekly Flights on a Dedicated Aircraft
La Compagnie will operate the route five times per week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The carrier will deploy its Airbus A321LR configured with 76 lie-flat seats arranged in a 2-2 layout. Every passenger receives access to the airline’s Lounge&Co at Newark and the DUS Sky Lounge in Düsseldorf.
This schedule aligns with typical transatlantic business travel patterns while avoiding weekend peaks that often see lower demand. The aircraft choice supports efficient operations on the roughly 3,800-mile sector. Passengers can expect a consistent product focused on comfort and productivity during the flight.

The Düsseldorf service extends La Compagnie’s existing network from Newark, which already includes Milan, Nice, and Paris.
